The Living Archive of Contemporary Asian Art (LACAA) is a student-led online repository and resource centre established by the School of Fine Art, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. LACAA aims to create and expand knowledge, to facilitate and sustain conversations on the development and evolution of Southeast Asian contemporary art practices through archival and documentation methods as art practice.

Over the course of their Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Fine Art programme, each student identifies one or several artists from Singapore and the Southeast Asia region to engage with their respective art practice, or specific art projects. Information gathered such as documentations, interview transcripts, critical analysis, and soundbites, are curated by the students before they are archived on LACAA. By examining the evolving roles and contributions of the artist as archivist, LACAA serves as a research platform for the academy and the public, to document processes and methodologies of local and regional contemporary art practices.
